Part of an International Engineering business, this Blackburn based business can provide the opportunity to work as part of a small team, whilst benefiting from the support and resources of the wider Group.
The Engineering Administrator appointed will support the Engineering function in a wide variety of tasks such as the management and co-ordination of BoM’s (Bill of Materials) for both new and existing Machinery products and variants. This includes preparation of BoM’s and compiling change control documentation using databases. There will be a further requirement to provide administrative support to the Engineering Design team, distributing specifications and drawings from and to Design, Quality, Development and Production.
The individual appointed will ensure compliance with Quality systems and regulatory standards, updating Accreditation documentation. There will be a requirement to support the Engineering team in their review of activities, aimed at improving processes within the Engineering office. This could include making suggestions and proposals for writing new work procedures or updating existing ones.
The Engineering Administrator will monitor budgets on projects and co-ordinate the BoM (Bill of Materials) process: Sales and Customers for product requirements, Engineering for components, Service for parts, Quality for product compliance and standards, Operations for product demand and production schedules, Planning and Production for execution of Engineering instructions, Purchasing for any discrepancies on Project/Contract cost.
We are keen to hear from individuals with the ability to liaise and maintain good relationships with Engineers, Suppliers and Operations. This role would best suit an assertive and confident individual with excellent problem-solving skills. Previous Administration experience and good Microsoft Office skills is also expected. Ref: 3290
