Engineering Buyer

A fast-growing engineering firm seeks an experience Engineering Buyer.

Previously, elements of buying were handled by their Project Managers. However, as the company continues to expand rapidly, they have come to recognise the importance of having a dedicated buyer to take charge of all purchasing-related activities and implement improved procurement systems/processes.

In this newly created position, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the company source high-quality parts, components, and materials for projects, while also maximising cost efficiency and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

• At least 3 years Buying experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
• A highly motivated and self-driven individual with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to identify parts from technical drawings.
• Proactive decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Salary & Benefits:

• Basic salary up to £45,000 pa (salary level dependent on skills and experience).
