Hours - Days Monday to Friday (No Evenings, No weekends)
One of Europe’s leading manufacturers with multiple Global Manufacturing sites and 2,000+ employees within the UK alone. They are now seeking to appoint an Engineering Planner to strengthen their team.
Duties of the role:
- Liaise with members of the Engineering, Production, Stores and Quality departments to identify future maintenance requirements.
 - Coordinate maintenance activities through a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
 - Review all maintenance schedules of plant and equipment to determine the frequency of inspections and issue worksheets accordingly.
 - Coordinate contractors and review the standard of work completed by contractors and the internal engineering team, ensuring all work has been completed correctly and meets Health & Safety policies.
 - Work with the Engineering Manager and Team in identifying areas where efficiency improvements could be applied to make the Maintenance function more effective.
 - Develop and optimize maintenance schedules to improve reliability and meet OEE targets.
 - Utilise a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to plan maintenance, schedule PPM's, and monitor spare parts inventory.
 - Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, LOLER, PSSR and PUWER, conducting risk assessments to ensure statutory compliance is being met.
 - Responsibility for maintenance duties undertaken by Maintenance Engineers, ensuring priority tasks are completed within expected timeframes and plans followed.
 - Create daily and weekly plans, ensuring spare parts and other equipment is available.
 - Define and maintain maintenance KPIs across planned, preventative, and strategic maintenance approaches.
 - Work closely with Stores and Engineering to define appropriate stock levels given cost, space and order lead times.
 
The Person
- Will need to hold relevant engineering qualifications and should be able to demonstrate at least 12 months experience working in a Engineering / Maintenance Planner role within a manufacturing environment.
 - Will need strong PC literacy and be competent in the use of computerised systems for maintenance management or stores management.
 - Will understand Health & Safety legislation within an Engineering and Manufacturing environment.
 - Will be able to analyze Engineering and Maintenance challenges and apply practical solutions.
