FoodEng is proud to be partnering with a leading food producer to find a motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless operations and optimal maintenance of the plant and machinery. As an integral part of their well-established Engineering team, the appointed Maintenance Engineer will enjoy a dynamic and rewarding environment, swiftly becoming a key contributor to the company's continued success.

Based near Swadlincote (South Derbyshire), this business is centrally located to support customers throughout the UK and situated within a commutable distance from surrounding areas such as Leicester, Loughborough, Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Derby, Nuneaton etc.

Working rotating 12hrs Shifts - 4 Days (6am to 6pm), 4 Off, 4 Nights (6pm to 6am), 4 Off

Job Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Electrical and mechanical Fault finding.
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Supporting the installation of new machinery and upgrades to existing plant.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Working on Single and Three Phase electrical systems.
  • PLC Fault Finding.
  • Entering data on to the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Suitable Applicants will hold the following skills and experiences:

  • Prior experience in a production/manufacturing setting (Food Industry experience is advantageous but not essential).
  • Electrically biased maintenance engineer with good mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in PLC fault finding.Competent in diagnosing and repairing both electrical and mechanical faults
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive and positive "Can-Do" attitude.
  • Adaptable to handle complex maintenance challenges and offer innovative solutions to optimise production efficiency.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Basic salary between £37,000 to £39,000 pa
