The Role

2 Week Rotating Shift Pattern: Week 1: Early Shift, Week 2: Late Shift. (No Weekends)

As part of a small team, a Maintenance Engineer for this business, you will be responsible for efficiently analysing and resolving issues, conducting repairs, performing general maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to meet the needs of the company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment and machinery are in optimal working condition.

Typical duties for the Maintenance Engineer will include:

• Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintaining a range of equipment including: ovens, conveyors, mixers, depositors, flow wrappers, palletisers, labellers, baggers, slicers.
• Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Optimise machinery efficiency.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment is safe to use and fit for purpose.
• Liaise with colleagues on machine faults or breakdowns.
• Assist with the Installation and Commissioning of new machinery and upgrades.

The Person

It is expected that applicants will have a good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical production equipment, gained from within a Food Manufacturing environment, or similar. Applicants should have good levels of multi-skilling, combined with a passion for problem solving and working as part of a team.
