Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Penryn, Cornwall
Basic Salary £37,000 - £40,000 pa
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an expanding and well-established manufacturing business.
Shift pattern: Four shift rota of 4 x 8hr days Monday to Friday (Week 1: 4am to 12pm; Week 2: 5am to 1pm; Week 3: 10am to 6pm; Week 4: 3pm to 11pm; on call 1 weekend in 4)
Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to optimise machinery efficiency and keep downtime to a minimum.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying the root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Work closely with the engineering team to maintain and repair a range of equipment, including ovens, provers, slicers, conveyors, inspection machinery, mixers, packaging machinery, depositors, flow wrappers, spiral freezers, Ai compressors, boilers etc.
Qualifications and Expertise:
- Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Competency in in responding to both Electrical and Mechanical breakdowns.
- Ability to work well as part of a team, strong communication skills, able to both take instruction and use initiative.
- NVQ Level 3/ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Willingness to be part of the on-call rotation, with the ability to respond promptly to call-outs during weekends.
Salary & Benefits:
- 20 Holidays + 8 Bank HolidaysPension
- £50 on-Call Retainer and if called out minimum 2hrs pay @ x1.5 standard rate
