The Company

A leading business within the the design, manufacture and integration of Process Automation, they provide full project management support to the Food Manufacturing industry. Due to continuing growth, an exciting new role has been created for a Project Manager to join the team. 

The Role

The Project Manager will oversee a very interesting bespoke capital equipment project valued in the millions, on behalf of a Global Food Manufacturer. This will include managing project schedules, budgets and KPI’s and project responsibility from concept through to installation, commissioning, handover.

Involvement in the project will be all encompassing, including developing project requirements and technical specifications, developing a high-performing team, the technical mentoring of project engineers and design engineers, and working collaboratively with the design team, manufacturing team, equipment suppliers and other service providers.

The Project Manager will quickly gain an understanding of the unique challenges posed by managing a complicated CAPEX project within a live Food Manufacturing environment, and will spend considerable time with the customer, presenting project status reports and delivering best in class solutions.

The Person

Applicants need to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years experience delivering Capital Equipment projects within the FMCG Manufacturing sector (Food Manufacturing, Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care). Excellent Engineering skills and a sophisticated understanding of Automation is also expected, as is great communication and team building skills. 

In terms of Location, you will ideally be based around Avon, Somerset, Wiltshire and the South West, although relevant Project Managers outside this region will also be considered. 

You must be flexible to travel throughout the UK and possibly stay away from home 2-3 nights per week when required. Ref 3092
