Quality Engineer

Typical responsibilities for the Quality Engineer will include:
 

  • Being the first point of contact for all quality concerns, including customer complaints;
  • Working with Fabricators, Design Teams and third-party suppliers to ensure quality standards are met;
  • Carry out quality inspections and raise concerns with fabricators;
  • Ensure information on engineering drawings is accurate;
  • Generate non-conformance reports and ensure effective preventative actions are implemented;
  • Manage warranty claims processes;
  • Coach internal & external teams on new inspection, welding and fabrication techniques;
  • Carry out quality awareness training;
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality and efficiency management systems;
  • Travel the world visiting suppliers and customers;

 
Suitable applicants will hold the following skills and experience:
 

  • At least 2 years of Quality and Inspection experience within an Engineering Environment;
  • You might have developed from a Fabricator/Welder/Plater background into Quality Assurance;
  • Good knowledge of Fabrication Processes;
  • Good Understanding of Welding Symbols;
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
  • Good Quality Improvement techniques;
  • Experienced dealing with Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and Customers;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
