To ensure the growth trend continues, the company constantly innovates and improves its comprehensive range of engineering services. These services support customers with small projects through to full turnkey solutions, largely within the Food & Drink sector.

The Role 

As Technical Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility for developing an effective sales and marketing strategy that will drive profitable growth.

You can be home-based for this role (and live within 1.5 hours of Northants), but you must be flexible to travel throughout the UK & Ireland to meet with customers.

• Responsible for developing new business and managing accounts with existing customers, focusing on CAPEX, Plant Expansions, Mechanical Projects and Pipework Installations.
• Responsibility for the full sales process including lead generation, proposal writing and contract negotiations.
• Creation of commercial proposals as well as contributing to new service introduction initiatives.
• Working with clients within FMCG, Food, and Manufacturing sectors, discussing opportunities for CAPEX Investment, Mechanical Equipment Installation, Fabrication, Refurbishment or Expansion of existing Plant and Systems.
• Creating and delivering a business development and marketing plan to increase revenue. 
• Producing regular reports and business updates as requested.
• Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
• Improving systems and procedures for the sales function.
• CRM/Sales pipeline management.
• Preparing accurate sales forecasts.
• Maintaining good knowledge of industry developments and competitor activity.

The Person

• Apprentice-trained within Mechanical Engineering with a strong understanding of fabrication, welding and pipework.
• Good knowledge of Process Equipment for the Food & Beverage Industry. 
• Ability to create and deliver business strategies and quotations for new projects.
• Excellent Time Management and Planning Skills.
• Excellent Presentation and Communication Skills. 
• Applicants should live a 1.5hr drive from Northants. 

Salary £67,000 pa - £72,000 pa + Car Allowance plus Generous Benefits Package. Ref 3472
