After graduating with a Management degree, Chris Burns commenced his career in professional recruitment in the mid 1990’s, gaining a broad range of experience working for Executive recruiters within Manufacturing and more specifically, Food Manufacturing. Chris founded FoodEng Recruitment with a vision to offer a specialised bespoke Engineering recruitment service for the Food & Drink industry.
Today, Chris focuses on mid-to-senior level appointments working with a diverse range of Food & Drink clients. Chris’s core strength is his encyclopedic knowledge of those employed within the Food & Drink industry and his ability to pull the proverbial rabbit out of the hat for his clients.

Barney Wilkinson joined FoodEng Recruitment in January 2023 and assists Food & Drink clients with the recruitment of Engineering personnel. Engineers and clients alike appreciate Barney’s ebullient approach and he is well-connected within the engineering community - regarded as one of the few genuine specialists within Food & Drink Engineering recruitment.
With a focus on the appointment of hands-on Engineers through to mid-to-senior level Engineers and Managers, Barney's clients include Food & Drink Manufacturers, Machinery Manufacturers & Suppliers, and Food Packaging Manufacturers, ranging from SME’s to Multinational Organisations. Barney's core strength is his dogged determination to get results for his clients. Outside of work, Barney has a passion for Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, Football and Music Festivals.

Jo Milne’s career in recruitment commenced in the late 1990’s when she took a role as PA to the Director of a leading North West recruitment consultancy that provides workforce management and recruitment for the Manufacturing sector. An English graduate, Jo commenced her role with FoodEng Recruitment in 2016, joining from the Legal profession. Jo has a wide remit of responsibilities, including, Processes and Systems, Research, Data Analysis, Candidate Engagement and Marketing.
Having developed a sophisticated understanding of the Food & Drink sector, Jo understands what clients are looking for in prospective candidates and brings new insights and a fresh perspective to the business. Outside of work, Jo enjoys family life and a wide variety of literature.
